Known for unauthorized performances, Billy X. Curmano appears in the Lobby Court Bar of the Headquarters Hotel for the College Art Association 100th Anniversary Annual Conference to celebrate being named "2012 Artist of the Year" .

Billy will offer a series through Rochester (MN) Community Education with an insiders take on performance art. The 4-part series will include screenings followed by discussions of his own work along with other major players he's met on the road. The first 4 will feature Rachel Rosenthal, Tehching Hsieh and Poppa Neutrino with additional insights into John Cage and others. Guess who? Four nights March 19, 26 and April 16, 23.

Midnight Babylon is a solo performance. It's a soldier's Post Traumatic Stress Disorder re-lived in a sleepless night. First performed in the 60's and re-created for the Burchfield Penney Art Center in Buffalo, NY. It comes to life again at the Anderson Center in Red Wing, MN April 27, 2012 in conjunction with Gita Ghei's "World in Arms" exhibition.

The evening begins with a talk on art and war by Corine Wegener at 7 p.m. followed by "Midnight Babylon" at 8:30 and concludes with a concert from Billy's New X Art Ensemble in the Anderson Center Cafe.
